FAQ's

At what age can I start sleep training my baby?

Gentle sleep shaping can begin from birth to 5 months to encourage healthy sleep habits & routine if this is something you would like to do, this can then mean that you never have to use formal sleep training. My eldest was never sleep trained because I set a foundation for solid sleep from the start. For structured sleep training, I recommend waiting until your baby is at least 5 months old.

What is the benefit of teaching my baby to sleep independently?

Independent sleep not only helps your baby connect sleep cycles but also gives you the time and energy to focus on your mental health, relationships, and family well-being. It’s a game-changer for your whole family.

How long does it take to see results from sleep training?

Most families see significant improvements within 1–2 weeks, depending on your baby’s age, temperament, and consistency with the plan.

Do you provide help with newborn sleep, or only older babies?

Yes, I offer a newborn sleep package for babies under 5 months, focusing on gentle sleep shaping techniques that lay the foundation for healthy sleep habits as they grow. Meaning formal sleep training may not be needed.

When should I start a bedtime routine?

The newborn days can feel like a bit of a blur, so don’t worry if it takes time to find your rhythm. Once you’re ready, start by focusing on your baby’s awake windows. From around 6 weeks, you can begin to introduce a gentle routine. A simple bedtime routine...like bath, feed, and bed, can be a lovely way to signal that it’s time to settle down for the night. Keep it flexible at this stage, as it can take a little while to establish a routine, and that’s absolutely fine.
