Hi, I'm Shanaz Winslet – Paediatric Nurse, Early Years Educator, OCN certified infant sleep consultant & last but not least my most proudest title of all….Mummy.
With 24 years of experience in childcare and paediatric healthcare, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting families. My journey began with a diploma in Early Years Care & Education, leading to roles in daycare, private nannying, and maternity night nursing in the UK and USA. I later earned my Paediatric Nursing degree at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.
Now based on the Costa Blanca, Spain, I combine my professional expertise with personal experience as a mum. I’ve helped my own children establish healthy sleep habits, and I’m passionate about guiding other families towards better sleep.

My first daughter was born in 2015, and we embraced the 4th trimester with plenty of snuggles, combination feeding (which I'm a big advocate for), and a relaxed approach. From the start, I focused on setting healthy sleep habits, which helped her develop a great routine of independent sleep without the need for formal sleep training. She adapted well even when we traveled, proving how a strong foundation in sleep habits can make a world of difference.
My youngest child's arrival in 2021 brought a challenging chapter: a premature birth, silent reflux, postnatal depression/anxiety, and the depths of sleep deprivation due to co-sleeping.After his reflux settled, I transitioned him smoothly to his cot, but sleep challenges returned at 11 months with developmental milestones. Determined to stay responsive to his needs, I avoided cry-it-out methods and used gentle, in-room techniques to turn his sleep around. This experience inspired me to deepen my knowledge of sleep science and support other families through their sleep struggles with compassion and evidence-based solutions.
Rooted in my nursing and childcare background, my approach blends evidence-based practices with compassionate, individualized care. I empower parents to foster healthy sleep habits while nurturing strong parent-child connections.
